N. DAVID FLAGG

A native of Gainesville, Florida, David graduated from the University of Florida with a degree from the College of Journalism and Communications. From UF's ROTC program, he also received a Lieutenant's Commission in the U.S. Army. David served three years in the 82nd Airborne Division and the XVIII Airborne Corps. at Fort Bragg, N.C.

David has varied experience in private business and non-profit professional associations, including ten years as Director of Government Relations for UF based Shands HealthCare. This government and public relations work provided David with significant experience in the policy making process of Tallahassee and Washington D.C.

As an elected official, David has been Mayor of Gainesville and a Member of the Florida Legislature. Additionally, he served a two year Speaker of the House appointment to the Florida Commission on Ethics. In June 2007, David was appointed by Florida Governor Crist to a four year term on the Governing Board of the Suwannee River Water Management District and serves as the Vice Chairman.

As equity partners in the company and through Torch Consultants, LLC, David and his wife Chris Flagg, provide consulting services to Banyan Biomarkers.
